All 67 feared dead in major American aviation accident

An American airlines passenger flight carrying 64 on-board and a black hawk military helicopter carrying 3 servicemen, collided mid-air last night over the Potomac river in Washington D.C. This is the first major aviation accident in America since 2009, which has one of the safest and advanced communication air-traffic control systems in the world. Investigations are on as to why the military helicopter was flying at that restricted height. 30 bodies have so far been recovered from the freezing river with no survivors expected at the moment.

Let’s Pray:

Father, we pray for the comfort in the hearts and souls of those grieving this terrible loss. We pray that Your peace and consolation fill and surround their hearts and homes in this difficult time. We ask for strength and grace to the recovery workers who have been toiling to recover all the perished. We pray for Your divine protection from all such future mishaps in Your merciful name. We ask that America would return to the true love of the Father, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Isaiah 41:10
