“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”
John 1: 1-4
Life is a God-given gift. Is it not amazing to be alive and to be able to remember to celebrate the blessing of life with others? Let us thank God because our lives are precious in His eyes, and He rejoices over us. Let us use His breath in our lungs to honor Him!
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20
Let’s pray:
Righteous and able God, You are the author of life and the anchor that makes our spirit live. Thank you, for the joy, strength, and peace You give us daily. You are life and You give life; and with Your mighty power You have done great things in our cities. The daily sunrise, our hearts pumping blood, the air we breathe and the water we drink are a few things we have no control over, but You give us so generously, both to the righteous and the wicked, for sustenance and life. You are our source of life, and it is only because of You that we grow stronger, in age and maturity. We are so grateful to You for sustaining and preserving our souls from death until this day. We thank You that we shall not die until we have seen Your promises and perfect plan come to fulfillment in our lives and proclaimed the Lord’s goodness. Heavenly Lord, we are thankful for the grace to enjoy, rejoice, and celebrate life each day, because Christ died for us so we can live for Him, live a glorious and abundant life for His glory. Amen.
