Violence in Ecuador

Ecuador has become increasingly violent lately. Over 400 inmates have died and at least 96 prison guards were held hostage by inmates in prisons. Last weekend, a mayor was shot on the street. The government tried to tighten the security by huge purchases of gun cartridges last month, along with other attempts to secure the country, which haven’t been successful. one of the major reasons is the drug trafficking run by criminal organizations throughout the country, which is mostly run behind prison bars.

Let’s Pray:

Father, we ask for Your mercy over Ecuador. You see how the people live in fear due to increasing violence and insecurity. You are our only Refuge, Strength, Salvation and Hiding Place. We pray for Your mighty arm to secure the country and release the tension over the people. We pray against the power of darkness that tries to spread terror and ruin the lives of people using drugs. May You restore peace and joy in Ecuador. may the people find salvation and peace in You, for only You can offer them. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

“You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.”

~‭‭Psalms ‭89‬:‭13‬-‭14‬
