War, Hunger, and Mass Displacement in Sudan’s Protracted Conflict

As of May 28, 2026, Sudan remains engulfed in a protracted war that has devastated cities, villages, and critical infrastructure, forcing millions of people from their homes and leaving vast areas on the brink of famine. More than 14 million people have been displaced internally or into neighboring countries, while markets, hospitals, schools, and water systems have been destroyed or severely disrupted, making it extremely difficult for families to access food, safe drinking water, healthcare, and protection. Humanitarian organizations warn that some regions face confirmed or imminent famine conditions, yet insecurity, attacks on civilians, and restrictions on access are preventing life-saving assistance from reaching many communities most in need.

Let’s Pray:

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Psalm 107:8-9 NKJV
