Kingdom of God to come

There is hope where there is justice. This prayer is a Declaration of Sovereignty. It looks at the “surrounding” evil and refuses to be intimidated by it. Instead, it invites the “Savior of the World” to take His seat and establish His kingdom and righteousness. It teaches us that when justice “never goes forth” in the natural world, we must go forth into the spiritual realm to call down the justice of heaven, and that God may come and reign in the affairs of the government and His people.

Let’s Pray

Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Your name is holy and revered and You are worthy of all praise. I acknowledge that Your law is the only source of true wisdom and truth. Lord, I bring before You a world where human laws often fail. Where bribery and corruption have rendered justice powerless, I ask You to intercede. Behold from Your throne how the wicked surround the righteous; do not let perverse judgment proceed any longer. Rule over the nations, O Lord! Deliver Your people from the enemy who seeks only to kill, steal, and destroy. Weaken the work of evil and let the influence of the wicked diminish, while You strengthen the hands of those who walk uprightly. Establish our nations on the foundation of Your righteousness. Replace injustice with Your truth and distorted words with Your wisdom. May Your kingdom come and Your perfect justice reign over us now and forever. In the marvelous name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray. Amen.

“Therefore the law is powerless, And justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore perverse judgment proceeds.”

‭‭— Habakkuk‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV
